Along comes autumn and the harvest.
transported me to the southern reaches of Tasmania, an island at the very bottom of Australia's mainland. The region she lives in is known for its small wine-making and grape-growing farms. It reminded me of when my husband and I used to have a vineyard. My kids adored grabbing grapes straight from the vines during harvest season!
As she's a chef, the post also features a delicious recipe for her grape cake.
It reminds me of the one I made with my father-in-law's stewed plums. Upon showing Julia's recipe to my eldest son, he added it to his list of deserts to try!

I’ve made my peace with wind. For years, I found strong wind unsettling and it affected my mood. I was often ill tempered.!
