I love that you made a matching hat and scarf with the yarn from Spain! It’s such a fun way to remember your trip for many years to come. I haven’t explicitly set knitting goals for the year but I’d like to tackled some leftover 2024 goals like knitting color work for the first time.

The hat and mitts are being put to good use during these cold days! Our knits hold stories and memories to be sure. I can't wait to see what color work project you choose. I hope your cabled cardigan is coming along well. :)

Duh, I meant matching hat and mitts not scarf 🤦🏽‍♀️. Color work intimidates me so much so it’ll likely be something simple like socks. Cabling is going well though I missed one twist and had to rip back several rows 🤷🏽‍♀️

Sounds like a plan re colorwork. At least you hadn't got too far along before you realized :)

Happy New Year Jodie! Looks like you are all set and inspired for an adventurous 2025. Love how the hat and mitts turned out!

I crochet and my goal is a book blanket. A square for every book I read. It’s going to be fun to create the squares based on the colors of the book’s cover

That does sound like a fun project! Do you have a goal on how many books you'll read?

Not really. I generally read 3-4 books a month so I’m just going to enjoy reading and create

My goal for 2025 is to enjoy the knitting journey more before I arrive at my destination. Especially toward the end of the year, when I was pushing to get Christmas gifts finished, I stopped enjoying the knitting process, which is the whole reason I learned to knit in the first place. My year-long project is my Florida temperature blanket + I want to learn to knit entrelac.

It's wonderful to have plans but I agree, enjoying the process is so important. All the best with your temperature blanket and let me know how you get on with entrelac. :)
