I’m so intrigued by the intricacy of fair isle designs! Particularly the steeking required for cardigans and many other sweaters. I have no desire to indulge but I’ve watched many a YouTube video to admire the technique! I’ll be looking forward to you sharing your process with us 😊

Fair Isle designs are so vast and varied. Steeking is an amazing technique!! It's hard to imagine cutting through all those stitches without fear and trepidation!! :)

Thanks for the lovely mention! I enjoyed your post as always. I do set a word and goals but not for my knitting. I’ll say more about that in my next post.

That's a lovely post and your lilies look lovely! Wishing you a happy new year and good luck with all your endeavors. The only thing I can think of is to intentionally snug up the 1X1 stitches. If you are using a cable needle (and may be that's altering your tension a bit) you can try doing them without the cable needle.

Thanks so much Kavitha and same to you for the new year! I'll try your tip for snugging up the 1x1 cable stitches. I'm not using a cable needle just rearranging the stitches. Thanks so much for your help.

Lovely blog, thank you. I don't set intentions for the new year anymore. All I did was frustrate myself if I was not able to follow thru and that made the anxiety go thru the roof.

Thank you for your kind words and for sharing your thoughts around setting intentions. I understand the feelings of frustration when you weren't able to follow through. You certainly don't want anxieties to get worse! It's a great kindness to yourself that you do what works for you. Wishing you all the best for 2024 for yourself and the farm. :)
