I love your knitting projects and I wish I could knit like that. Thank you for sharing. I learned to knit through 4-H when I was a young girl, probably 13 years old. I haven't ever really advanced in my years of periodic knitting but in seven plus more decades I have never stopped loving knitted garments of beautiful quality yarn and color. I haven't given up hope of improving my knitting.
Thank you Linda for your kind praise. Knitting garments is what brings you joy and I have no doubt they are beautiful. To have continued your knitting practice throughout all these years is wonderful! I wonder what you think of when you say you hope to improve your knitting? Do you have something you'd love to learn that you haven't yet?
Great question. In the past I would have said " time" but I retired three years ago so that door is now open. Now, I am trying to find " the how". I think I am ready and may have found the resources to go forward with my goal.
Ah yes, time is such an important factor. Whoot woo! That's so exciting to know you've found the resources to get going with your knitting goals. What are you going to try out first?
The hat looks lovely! Love the yarn you chose for that particular project. I just recently knitted several pairs of gloves. Like you, I never thought I'd do it, but my daughter went to college in a town with real winter so it was time for me to try. Yes, it was tedious, but I did it and I was so proud of it, I knitted two more. However, I think I'm done with it, I'd much rather knit just about anything else. Although the upside is that gloves are small projects. On my needles... a few different projects: an almost finished pullover w aran cables, several dish cloths, and a hat.
Thanks so much for sharing your own experiences with gloves. I can imagine your sense of accomplishment and the fact you went on to knit more is testament to your perseverance! I can also appreciate your decision to not knit anymore :) Oooh a pullover with aran cables sounds lovely. Enjoy all you have on your needles.
On the needles? Eyelets in the stream, pattern is Stitchnerd. On the hook dune blanket from attic24. On the spinning wheel is plying 2 bobbins of sea circus from Hilltop cloud. Approx 280g . Hovering in the background ready is a possible Dotted rays, pattern by Stephen West. Yarn to be decided but brights all the way.
Wonderful! I've taken a look at all those projects and they're all so lovely. What will you create with your handspun yarn? So much yarny goodness to enjoy in your making :)
I will keep u posted. TY!

Yes. I have stayed a beginner and would like to grow as a knitter. I want to learn new skills.
Does anything particular stop you?
